影片主要讲述的是在一座废弃的电影院里谣言四起，发生了很多灵异事件，而孟思凡想要在这个电影院里拍中国第一部鬼片，在这期间让人遇到的事情都感到毛骨悚然的故事

在1930年的上海市，再要开拍新电影时，顾维邦与孟思凡相识。在丽红宫的电影院相遇，孟思凡这时提议要拍一部惊悚爱情的电影。前期已经都准备完剧组要本身是要在丽宫的电影院开机，而在这期间听说有一家电影院是比较灵异的一个场所，为了让这个电影体现的更真实，最终坚持选择在这个具有灵异的场所进行拍摄，在这期间有很多离奇的事件发生，摄影师也拍到了非常奇怪的一幕，除此之外，发生了更大的意外，男主离奇死亡，现场是非常恐怖的，顾维邦的未婚妻也开始调查此事，发现在这个过程当中出现了很多很多起命案，整场案件都指向了这两个人，还翻出了多年前两人尘封很久的事情。
